There are two different Subsistence Allowance programs for VR&E - https://www.benefits.va.gov/vocrehab/subsistence_allowance_rates.asp P9/11 Subsistence Allowance is based on BAH paid to E5 with dependents. Those who start VR&E on/after January 1, 2018 receive 95% of the BAH paid to E5 along with their dependents.
Beginning January 1, 2023, students using online-only VR&E will be charged $1,110.00 if they started using VR&E on/after January 1, 2018 - to use VR&E before January 1, 2018 starters are paid $1,054.50 per month. CH31 Maintenance Allowance rates are adjusted by Congress on October 1 each year.
